Reference Services, Inc (RSI) is expanding its client service commitments by adding Kathleen Lapekas – PHR, SHRM-CP to our growing list of background screening professionals ready to assist our clients on a daily basis. As a professional background screening company, RSI is dedicated to providing quality reports to our clients with superior customer service and now we are prepared to take the next step to provide another level of HR consulting and continuing education.
Kathleen is a Human Resources Consultant with over 25 years of HR Management. For the past 10 years, Kathleen has served businesses throughout the Evansville and southern Indiana region becoming a valuable HR professional to many businesses.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Western Michigan University with Honors, she spent the last 25 years working in Human Resources for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies throughout the United States.
Then, in 2010, Kathleen began her own HR Consulting business to serve as an HR Resource for small and mid-sized businesses. Her expertise covers every aspect of HR including organizational development, employee relations, training, recruiting and legal compliance.

Kathleen currently serves as a Continuing Education instructor at Western Kentucky University, at Henderson Community College and at University of Southern Indiana, teaching courses in leadership and in Human Resources.
Kathleen will continue her role as an HR Consultant with her added responsibilities for RSI.
She serves as on the Board of Directors of Autism Evansville (since 2011). Kathleen resides in Evansville, Indiana with her husband, Rob and their son, Jacob.
