Unfortunately, a substantial number of people lie on their resumes, with studies indicating that around 70% of workers have lied on their resumes at least once. A survey by ResumeLab found that 70% of workers lied on their resumes, 76% lied on cover letters, and 80% lied during job interviews.

At RSI, it’s our job to help you navigate to the truth. Our verification department works diligently to ensure the accuracy of your candidate’s information before it is released to our clients, saving them time and money. We verify their education, work and license history to make sure they’ve done what they claim.

Employment Verification

Verify the applicant’s previous or current employment for the past 7 years, including start and end dates, title, salary and eligibility for rehire. Sometimes we can also capture employment data beyond 7 years, if so, we will report that to you too. RSI will source The Work Number first and return all results. If there are no results from The Work Number, three (3) attempts will be made to the applicable employer for verification. If unsuccessful, two (2) attempts will be made to the candidate for additional verification.

Professional Reference Verification

Our Specialists are trained to contact personal and/or professional references and verify all information submitted, as well as ask pertinent questions to identify key information of interest. We can customize the questions if needed. Two (2) attempts will be made with the applicable reference (personal or professional) for verification. If unsuccessful, two (2) attempts will be made to the candidate for additional references. We also offer a Quick Verify email solution.

Driving History (MVR)

Driving records are available in all 50 states. These reports can include records of minor traffic violations, as well as felonies, DUI’s and suspended licenses. Unless otherwise specified, records go back 3 years. If you have employees driving a company vehicle, driving clients, or operating equipment, we highly recommend MVR’s.

Education Verification

Our specialists will verify the level of education requested by our clients, confirming dates of attendance. Most of our clients request the highest degree completed. Three (3) attempts will be made to the applicable school for verification. If unsuccessful, two (2) attempts will be made to the candidate for additional verification.

Verification of Professional License and Certifications

We will verify the license(s) held, licensure status, expiration date and other information as provided by the licensing agency.

 

Employment Credit Report

RSI credit reports are for employment purposes only and comply with the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act). It provides address and employment history, social security fraud and public records searches, along with a financial summary. Public records searches can include bankruptcies, liens, judgments and collection. Employment Credit Reports are most used for management positions, cashiers, accounting, etc. – positions that will either accept or make payments, handle cash or be privy to sensitive company financial information.

ID Validation

Getting your identity verified with vID is quick and easy. All candidate’s need is a legal, valid government-issued ID, your phone, and about 2 minutes. vID ask to scan the front and back of your ID. You will then be prompted to take a selfie so that vID can use a detected image to confirm you match your ID. vID is important for healthcare and those candidates working with children.
